The Hippodrome in Leicester Square, London, is the UK’s largest casino & entertainment venue. And its most popular.
Housed within the former Hippodrome Theatre – an entertainment icon in the heart of the West End – it comprises three casinos, a cabaret and events theatre, one of London’s most ambitious steak houses, six bars, several private dining rooms and London’s only ‘indoor’ smoking terrace.
The Hippodrome has won two major awards including Best Casino in Europe 2015, and was the venue chosen by pop legend Prince to stage his final UK gig in 2014.
The Hippodrome boasts one of the most advantageous locations of any entertainment complex in the world. With a main door leading onto one of the busiest streets in Europe, a secondary entrance onto the world’s largest ‘Chinatown’ community and sited directly above one of the main underground stations in London, it has just welcomed its 6 millionth visitor since opening in July 2012.
Its modular design means it can host a wide range of events, parties and launches throughout the venue – from intimate dinners to large-scale events for up to 600, utilising the theatre, bars, restaurant and Piano Lounge.
Each year for the last quarter century, Harden’s has polled ordinary diners to determine the best and the worst of the dining scene in London and the UK.
The 2017/18 survey was conducted between March 16 and May 9, with nearly 8,500 diners contributing 50,000 individual reviews. Reviews were invited in the categories which form the basis for the London Restaurant Awards.
